Shae-Lynn Reesor

Administrator, Affordable Housing Finance

Development

As the Finance Administrator for Affordable Housing, Shae provides support with cash flow management, meticulous reporting, and to streamline all financial processes. With many years of experience in the private sector working for home builders, Shae brings a high-level of comprehension of the financial processes from the beginning of planning & development, to the very end when purchasers’ close on their homes. She is experienced in managing a high-volume workload, resourcefully solving problems, and easily adapts to changing priorities while maintaining efficiency.

Outside of her professional role, Shae-Lynn is heavily involved in her community – she is a second-generation ambassador & fourth-generation volunteer for the Markham & East York Agricultural Society, chairs multiple committees at the Markham Fair, and most recently joined the Board of Directors for The Pegasus Community Project; a not-for-profit that provides daily support for adults with developmental disabilities.

Through her volunteer roles and personal life, Shae-Lynn has developed a passion for advocacy and equity, and is excited to incorporate this into her professional life at SHS. Shae is eager to learn all that providing affordable housing entails, and truly stands by the statement of ‘if you do not lead by example, you cannot complain as a bystander.’

Current Work

Shae is actively supporting behind the scenes on numerous development projects, one of which involves the redevelopment of a 70+ year old site to transform it into new affordable housing units, office space, and amenity areas.

At SHS we acknowledge the lands we are on are the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee, and the Wendat peoples and are now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples. We also acknowledge that the location of our office in Toronto is covered by Treaty 13. In our work, we strive to continually reflect on our relationship to the land we are currently inhabiting and how our role as actors in the housing system can support the reconciliation process.
